THCME har på nuværende tidspunkt en håndfuld jurister og advokater tilknyttet, der i første omgang vil hjælpe selve foreningen, samt på sigt dens medarbejdere og medlemmer, med at begå sig inden for rammerne i den nuværende lovgivningsmæssige gråzone, indtil brugen af cannabismedicin – herunder også at dyrke og producere selv – bliver fuldt lovligt i Danmark og der kommer klare regler på området. THCMEs Legal Team vil blandt andet bidrage til at udarbejde informationsmateriale til foreningens medarbejdere og medlemmer såvel som andre interesserede. Dette materiale vil også være tilgængeligt på THCMEs hjemmeside samt intranet og vil kunne rekvireres i fysiskform pr. post såvel som på sigt i THCMEs Social Clubs.
Alle THCMEs indsatsområder og projekter vil være forpligtede til at betale alle lovpligtige skatter, afgifter, lønninger m.v. Det er THCMEs Legalteams ansvar i samarbejde med foreningens hovedbestyrelse, såvel som på sigt lokalbestyrelser, at alle gældende regler overholdes. Da foreningen vil drive økonomisk virksomhed, er denne som afgiftspligtig person forpligtet til at betale alle lovpligtige skatter, afgifter, lønninger m.v. Foreningen vil derfor også have en statsautoriseret revisor samt bogholder tilknyttet, som sikrer at alle gældende regler overholdes. I opstartsperioden vil der blive oprettet forskellige bankkonti til indbetaling af blandt andet medlemskontingent, afgifter, moms m.v. for at skabe størst mulig gennemsigtighed. Dertil vil der blive udarbejdet et system, der sikrer, at fx moms og afgifter bliver betalt i overensstemmelse med reglerne.
THCME søger allerede nu flere frivillige jurister og advokater til vores kommende Legal Team, hvis vigtigste opgave er at bidrage til udvikling af lovgivningen på cannabis området såvel som for THCME.
