Holland was inevitable – Holland is the country in Europe that has the longest tradition in the Coffeeshops (Social Clubs), cultivation of cannabis plants (Farmhouses) and several types of advice on cannabis like medicine, food or own production (advice). In addition, one of the founders was already working on a similar project in 2004, but under the title: How to legalize cannabis in the EU and has since maintained not only contacts around the EU but also the interest in the area, and has therefore also paved the way for THCME . Consequently, contact was made with old as well as created new contacts in relation to sparring during the construction phase and acknowledging that it would probably take several years before a project like THCME was possible in Denmark – but not impossible in the Netherlands. Holland has therefore also served as a base during the entire project’s start-up and hopes to begin the start of a THCME pilot project during the fall of 2018, which can subsequently pave the way for realizing THCME in Denmark in the near future.
